Entrepreneurship + Ascension | A story of shadows, triggers and personal illumination

All the things I wish I'd known before signing my soul contract to become an entrepreneur in this lifetime. It hasn't been easy.

The path of the female entrepreneur is not all glitz and glam, love and light, and numbers pointing up for infinity.

In fact, what many of us are learning is that our businesses are a direct access point to our shadows.

The perfect arena for our triggers.

And an illuminator of all things out of alignment.

Whatever karma I’m personally facing in this lifetime, my business(es) are the training grounds for exponential personal evolution, for learning lessons my soul’s been waiting to learn, and for opening, softening and strengthening beyond what my human could have ever imagined possible.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way. And even if I would, I honestly believe I don't have an option in this lifetime.

When I began my journey as an entrepreneur 10+ years ago, no one warned me what I was getting into.

No one explained to me that the path of entrepreneurship ran parallel to the path of ascension, and that they entangled so much that sometimes it was hard to tell which one was orchestrating the experience.

And for those of us who didn’t find our way into this lifetime as Ascended Masters, there is more work to be done here.

And this is playing out in realtime in our businesses.

And although I would love to stand here saying that nearly 10+ years as an entrepreneur has resulted in a healed, enlightened, multi-million dollar world leader completely aligned with my vision board reality,  that would be a gross exaggeration. 

The fact is, I am still a work in progress. I still encounter shadows, and triggers, and self-sabotaging behaviour.

I still have days when I question everything.

And I still feel like throwing in the towel from time to time.

The only difference between me now, and me several years ago riding the same waves, is that I am now an expert surfer.

I’ve had so many wipeouts that they hardly knock me off center anymore.

The current has pulled me all over the place and because of this I’ve learned to flow.

I’ve smashed my head, nearly drowned, have missed the perfect set and the pee in my wetsuit has lingered for longer than I would like.

But most of the time I’m riding the most spectacular waves. 

The number of wipeouts makes no difference, the direction of the current doesn’t phase me, heck, I’m happy to chill on the beach with my family while other surfers chase crowded waves.

Because my joy isn’t circumstantial, my success isn’t linear and I’m having fun because I choose to have fun, my business is a reflection of my state of being.

So if you’re dealing with any of the below business ascension symptoms, I see you, I feel you and I have been there too:

• Imposter syndrome
• Fear of being seen, judged, made wrong
• Anxiety
• Second guessing everything
• Unexplained waves and cycles
• Sisterhood wound
• Ego wound
• Mom guilt
• Failed launches
• Leaky boundaries
• Copy-catting
• Questioning everything
• Zoom disasters
• Sick kids, missed meetings
• Guilt
• Showing up distracted
• Out of integrity
• Grasping at straws
• Seeking external validation
• Months of ‘wasted’ time
• Tens of thousands invested with no return
• Debt
• Mis-managing finances
• Paying taxes late
• Midday meltdowns
• Jealousy

(I could expand on these with a dozen stories but will save that for another time!)

And in spite of all of the pain and suffering inflicted by the soul's decision to be an entrepreneur in this lifetime,I can assure you the flipside makes it all worthwhile.

The wisdom, the freedom, the connection, the depth, the intimacy, the awakening, the remembering, the joy, the creation, the learning, the fun, the dreaming, the flow, the money, the love, the bliss…. 

Being a female entrepreneur IS an adventure of a lifetime and for many of us, this is the adventure we came here to live.

So as you get pulled under by the current and forget which way is up, when you stub your toe on a gnarly piece of coral, or do the most spectacular wipeout for all to see, boob out, front wedgie and well above your head, picture me there holding a nice cozy towel, ready to snuggle up by a bonfire, gaze at the stars, and remember why we are here. 

Together we will laugh at earth school and how hard it can be sometimes, but knowing we are infinite and that we are all in it together, makes it a little more bearable on those stormy days.
